Vad har trähus, fiskfoder och biobränsle gemensamt?

BioFuel Region - 2017-03-30 14:06 CEST

12.00 Lunch

13.00 Flaggskepp bioraffinaderi, Magnus Hallberg, RISE Processum

16.00 Paneldiskussion

16.30 Avslutning

The 26th EUBCE will take place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen. The core of the traditional EUBCE conference will be held over 4 days from May 14th to 18th. There will also be an extension to the core conference and exhibition in order to showcase the many achievements in the field of biomass utilisation in Denmark that are an integral part of the country becoming fossil-free by 2050.

Members of the national organising committee will organise special technical visits to sites in the centre of the country where biomass is the key renewable feedstock into processes producing renewable energy, biofuels, biochemicals and biomaterials as well as integrating bioproducts into traditional established fossil-based systems. It is envisaged to dedicate one day to visit and discuss successful biomass utilisation technologies and the policies that support their development and implementation in the real world.

It will be the most important international Conference in the field of biomass in 2018.

The experts of the biomass sector will meet in Copenhaghen to discuss new concepts, trends and developments in science and industry. The EUBCE provides the most inspiring platform for dialogue and information exchange across the world.

DOE Workshop On Biobased Functional Replacement Chemicals

DOE Workshop On Biobased Functional Replacement Chemicals

Friday, May 5, 2017

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) is hosting a Workshop on Moving Beyond Drop-In Replacements:  Performance Advantaged Bio-Based Chemicals on June 1, 2017, in Denver, Colorado.  The purpose of the workshop is to solicit stakeholder feedback on what research and development is necessary for writing a functional replacements and novel biobased compounds strategic plan.  The discussion, which will be restricted to polymers, small molecules, and other building block chemicals, will center on the following questions:

  • Would a strategy document for bio-based novel compounds and functional replacements be useful? What would it look like?

  • What is the best strategy for developing a bio-based novel compounds and functional replacements guiding document?

  • What are the biggest challenges in identifying novel compounds and functional replacements?

  • What are the most critical properties to screen for when developing screening protocols?

  • How can BETO best bridge the gap between those producing novel bio-based compounds and those who need novel compounds or replacements for their formulations?

Registration is available online.
