Time: 20 October, 2-5 p.m. CET
Venue: Online Event
This seminar is organised by the Swedish Energy Agency as a part of the Swedish involvement in one of the technology collaboration programmes (TCP) affiliated with the International Energy Agency: Industrial Energy-related Technologies and Systems (IETS TCP). An international collaboration in the area of digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) for energy efficiency and greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation in industry has recently started in the IETS TCP.
Digitalisation and AI are one of the important areas for achieving deep decarbonisation in industry. Due to the breadth of this area, work has started within the IETS TCP to identify the part that is most relevant for energy efficiency and GHG mitigation. In that work, specific tasks of high importance to start a further international collaboration in have been identified. These are:
- Methods and Applications of Digital Twins
- Lessons Learned and Created Values by Digitalisation
- Digitalisation Implementation Roadmaps
In this collaboration, groups from a large number of countries will participate and they it will be led by the National Resources and Ecole Polytechnique, Montreal, Canada. The collaboration will take the form of networking between participating groups and sharing of experiences and results. Academia, institutes and industry will be involved in the collaboration.
In the webinar, the leaders from Canada will present work done so far and further plans. Swedish experts will present ongoing and planned projects in Sweden and, finally, there will be a discussion about the different tasks and a possible Swedish participation.
Target groups for the webinar are representatives from industry, universities, institutes and regional and governmental authorities.
The aims of the seminar are to increase the knowledge in Sweden in this area and to create a network in Sweden and discuss the Swedish contribution in the international collaboration, as well as to discuss the need for further work.
The webinar is free of charge. A full programme will be distributed shortly.
