Bio4Energy Feedstock Pre-processing
 is a leader in the area of research on:

  • Transformation of forest biomass and organic waste to industrial feedstock;
  • Torrefaction or roasting as a method to pre-treat woody materials for use in the production of heat, electricity or fuel;
  • Spectroscopic on-line analysis for efficient characterisation and quality-assurance of bio-based industrial streams and;
  • Use of by-products of municipal operations/utilities (flue gas and waste water) in pilot-scale algae production.
